Facelift

Dr. Kinney can help to take years off your look with a facelift. A facelift is generally performed on men and women over the age of 40, but can be done sooner. If you have very loose, sagging skin and deep creasing, you may have the best results with a facelift. Dr. Kinney will pull underlying facial muscles and skin into a tighter position. This process will smooth out wrinkles and lift sagging skin.

With Dr. Kinney, you will not have to worry about an unnatural, frozen appearance following your facelift. Some unskilled plastic surgeons overly tighten the skin with the ensuing result being a constantly windswept face; however, Dr. Kinney focuses on restoring youthful contours to the face using just the right amount of tightening and repositioning of muscles, fat and skin.

Your facelift can be done with other complementing procedures. Eyelid surgery, laser resurfacing or even facial implants can enhance your facelift experience. Dr. Kinney can discuss your concerns during a consultation. Schedule an appointment with us to learn more about the facelift procedure.

Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery can brighten and refresh a tired appearance around the eyes. "Blepharoplasty," or eyelid surgery, can be performed on the upper or lower lids. During upper eyelid surgery Dr. Kinney can remove excess fat deposits and tighten the skin and muscles of the eye. This is beneficial for drooping upper eyelids and severe wrinkling. Under eye bags, loose skin and deep creases can be effectively treated with lower eyelid surgery. It is important to note that eyelid surgery will not treat dark under eye circles, fine wrinkles, and skin texture issues.

Dr. Kinney can combine your eyelid surgery with other plastic surgery procedures like the brow lift or facelift. Eyelid surgery works very well with minimally-invasive treatments. For example, laser resurfacing or chemical peels work beautifully to further rejuvenate the eye area. These types of procedures can address fine lines and texture while eyelid surgery eradicates deeper issues pertaining to skin laxity, fatty deposits and deep wrinkles. Recovery from this operation will take seven to 10 days for most patients. Incisions can be hidden in the inner lash line for lower lid blepharoplasty and in the crease of the upper lid. The incisions for your eyelid surgery will be red and swollen following the procedure. Once this subsides you will see a dramatic difference around your eyes.

Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as "nose surgery" or a "nose job," is a delicate procedure that requires not only medical skill, but also a keen sense of aesthetics. Dr. Kinney is a plastic surgeon that is not only board certified, but has years of experience in performing this procedure. Rhinoplasty can improve the nose in several ways including:

  • Removing a bump
  • Defining a bulbous tip
  • Correcting a crooked bridge
  • Reshaping the nostrils
  • Narrowing the span of the nostrils

These are just a few of the refinements that Dr. Kinney can perform during your rhinoplasty. His goal is to sculpt the nose to your desire, and create a shape that is in proportion to your facial features. Facial implants placed in the cheek and chin can also be helpful in creating better balance. To learn more about the rhinoplasty procedure, do not hesitate to schedule a private consultation with Dr. Kinney.

Brow Lift

The brow lift procedure focuses on improving the upper portion of the face. It is a permanent operation that can take years off your face. A brow lift can eliminate wrinkles on the forehead; it is a great way to open up the eyes by causing a drooping brow to lift. This will give a tired face a more refreshed look.

Dr. Kinney will place the incisions for your brow lift behind the hairline where they can be easily hidden. A classic brow lift incision runs from ear to ear. Endoscopic brow lift is done with a few small incisions placed inconspicuously in the hairline. Dr. Kinney will move the muscles and fat into a smoother position with the aid of an endoscope. Both methods will leave you with a smooth forehead and an overall uplifted and rejuvenated face.

A consultation with Dr. Kinney can determine if a classic or endoscopic brow lift will improve your appearance. Contact us today to set up a private consultation.

Botox/Restylane/Juvederm/Prevelle/Radiesse/Sculptra ®

If you are looking for a little pick-me-up for your appearance, Botox® and filler injections are a great way to start.

Hyaluronic acids are smooth, long-lasting gels that have largely replaced collagen injections in recent years.  They can fill in depressions in the face, whether they are smile lines, crow's feet, "ice pick" acne scars or the nasolabial fold. The nasolabial fold is the crease that extends from the side of the nose to the edge of the mouth. They do not require allergy testing and generally provide soft, natural results in restoring the face to youthful contours.  They may last from six to twelve months are are successfully used in almost all the areas of the face.  Dr. Kinney has performed or monitored more than six FDA clinical trials for facial injections and is widely regarded as an expert  and trainer in these techniques.

Botox® is a wonderful complement to collagen injections. It uses a chemical called botulinum toxin type A to relax muscles in the face. This chemical has been used many years for other medical purposes. Since Botox® targets the muscles, it is only effective on dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle movement. These types of wrinkles are found on the forehead, the eye area (crow's feet) and even between the eyebrows. If you have an angry or tired expression, Botox can ease the muscles and relax these lines.

Collagen is a substance that has been used successfully for many years, but is rarely used now. If you are receiving collagen for the first time, you will be administered an allergy test to ensure you have no adverse reactions to this substance.

Injectable fillers and Botox® together can deliver an almost line-free face. If you are interested in these treatments, please contact Dr. Kinney for a consultation.

Lip Augmentation

Lip augmentation can restore fullness by plumping up one's natural size. Full, pouty lips have become more desirable in recent years. For this type of procedure, there are temporary as well as permanent techniques used for enhancement.

Dr. Kinney can help you get the kind of lips you've always wanted through various ways, such as with collagen or fat injections. These injectable fillers typically last for three to six months. Restylane, Juvederm and Prevelle are other options for creating fuller lips, which can last from six to 12 months. The majority of patients will experience swelling for one or two days following their procedure. Some injectable fillers may require an allergy test. You can discuss different injectable lip augmentation choices with Dr. Kinney.

A lip implant may be a permanent option to consider. Either synthetic implant material or your own fat can be transplanted into the upper or lower lip. With fat grafting, there is a chance of absorbing the fat back into the body. In order to achieve natural- looking lip augmentation, choose an experienced plastic surgeon like Dr. Kinney to perform this procedure. You can schedule a consultation to find out more about this procedure.
